Training - Machining Mechanic (M/F/D)
What to expect
Machining mechanics program and set up automatic lathes that produce precision parts in large quantities and with the highest accuracy.
They also write and modify CNC machine programmes. The tools and metal parts are coordinated down to the last detail and then inserted into the machines so that the work process can begin. Machining mechanics are responsible for checking the parts and dimensions, as well as for maintaining and inspecting the machines and troubleshooting any malfunctions.
During the training, you will learn the following
- Labour and collective bargaining law
- Occupational health and safety and environmental protection
- Reading, applying and creating technical documentation
- Planning, controlling and monitoring
- Testing, measuring and assessing
- Manual and machine material processing
- Fitting, joining, welding and assembling
- Maintenance and repair of operating equipment
- Heat treatment of iron and steel
- Tool maintenance, tool presetting
- CNC technology (computerised numerical control)
- Hydraulics, pneumatics
- Planning of manufacturing processes
- Programming and operating numerically controlled machines
- Monitoring and optimising manufacturing processes
- Quality assurance
What you should bring with you
- Good secondary school or technical secondary school qualifications
- Manual dexterity and technical understanding
- Very good grades in mathematics and physics
- Good spatial awareness
- Sense of responsibility, determination and ability to work in a team
- Ability to concentrate
